1. Place two 1-ply, non-laminated white napkins on two disposable styrofoam plates. Using an eyedropper, apply 18 drops of a solution comprised of 3 tablespoons of McCormick Yellow Food Color and 1 tablespoon of borax on each of the napkins.
2. On another styrofoam plate, “spill” one eyedropperful of MelaBrite® and wipe it up with a napkin. Crumple the napkin into a ball and place it in a glass jar labeled “MelaBrite®.” Repeat the same thing using one eyedropperful of Clorox and place it in a jar labeled Clorox.
3. Quickly place the napkins with the food coloring over the tops of the glass jars, making sure the openings are covered with the colored spots. Wait approximately 3 minutes.
4. To everyone’s amazement, the napkin over the jar with Clorox in it will fade. The napkin over the MelaBrite® jar, however, is still vibrant! Why? Because even the vapors from Clorox can “bleach” colors. MelaBrite® has no chlorine bleach so even its vapors won’t harm colors.
